The theme of this publicity week is "Shangde Law abiding Food Safety for a Better Life", jointly organized by 23 departments including the State Council Food Safety Office, the Central Civilization Office, the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Commerce, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Health Commission, the General Administration of Customs, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State Administration of Radio, Film and Television, the Cyberspace Administration of China, the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission, the Grain and Reserve Bureau, the Forestry and Grassland Administration, the Civil Aviation Administration, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade.
Xiao Yaqing, Director of the State Council Food Safety Office and Director of the State Administration for Market Regulation, pointed out in his speech that through the promotion of weekly activities, we should strengthen supervision, observe bottom lines, prevent risks, and ensure safety, focus on strengthening supervision and law enforcement, and make great efforts to solve food safety problems strongly reflected by the masses; Focus on strengthening risk monitoring and supervision sampling, preventing and resolving various food safety risks and hidden dangers; Efforts will be made to strengthen institutional construction and establish a long-term mechanism to ensure food safety.
Xiao Yaqing stated that the market supervision department should take the implementation of the "Opinions of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council on Deepening Reform and Strengthening Food Safety Work" as a new starting point for food safety work, adhere to the original intention, shoulder the mission, identify gaps, grasp implementation, continuously increase work efforts, and strive to ensure the "safety on the tip of the tongue" of the people.
Representatives from local governments, food enterprises, community organizations, science popularization propaganda, and primary and secondary schools made keynote speeches based on their respective fields of work, elaborating on the responsibilities and obligations of all parties involved in food safety work, innovative explorations, and efforts made to jointly promote food safety and social governance and sharing.
During the publicity week from June 18th to 30th, more than 50 food safety themed publicity activities will be carried out at the national level, including legal and regulatory lectures, moral integrity education, scientific knowledge popularization, scientific and technological achievements display, and technical skills training. Various regions will also organize and carry out theme activities with rich content and diverse forms simultaneously.
